Captain Drake grew up hunting, fur trapping, and fishing on the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. Fishing trips with his father and time spent at the camp in Slidell, fostered his interest in being on the water. During high school, Drake was wading bayous to run his trap lines as well as duck hunting, and fishing. After serving as an infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division in the invasion of Iraq, he retuned to Louisiana. Upon returning, it wasn't long until every weekend was spent in Lake Catherine, and areas beyond, sight fishing redfsh and locating schools of hungry speckled trout. Drake, his wife Amy, and son Drake III, now live on the tchefuncte River, so fishing is a daily routine. In addition to his knowledge of the water, Captain Drake spent a decade selling customer service. He understands the quality experience a customer expects and deserves.
Captain Drake operates out of Lake Catherine Marina, just 40 minutes from Downtown New Orleans. Half day, and full day trips are both offered at Victory Bay Charters.
